$299 for the year seems steep I am sure ( it did to us also)
Below are the reasons we decided to purchase the 1 year subscription of Amazon Fresh
- And this is #1 for sure… no more going to the grocery store- that is worth alot more than $299.00 per year right there. Especially with a 14 month old and an 8 year old tagging along and not wanting to be there any more than we want to be
- Getting the delivery as soon as we wake up in the morning…theres nothing like a fresh glass of juice or a fresh muffin from an out of reach bakery to start the day off with.
- The Pricing. Not only does this subscription come with a years worth of deliveries on anything over $35 but it also includes amazon prime video streaming which has alot of good shows – it also includes a membership to amazon prime which gives free shipping on tons of stuff on amazon.com … oh yeah there is also amazon music. I have tried to get into it or figure it out but for some reason it just aint doing it for me, and I always seem to end up back on spotify
- Not going to the grocery store
- Ordering in the morning and having it on your doorstep when you get home ( We have yet to do this one but will keep you posted)
- Beer Delivery!!! you need to be there to sign for it. ( we havent done this yet but will let you know how that goes as well)
- We have used vons.com in the past, but the numbers did not work – we used amazon fresh delivery 8 times this month there was no charge for any of the deliveries but there was a recommended tip of $4 for the driver on each of the orders … which was a little annoying as this definitely drives the price up- I do not have a problem with tipping , but I know Vons Drivers are not allowed to take tips and I think Amazon Fresh should pay the drivers what they deserve. Vons.com has a delivery fee of $9.95 for orders over $150.00 and 12.95 for purchases under $150… if we used vons.com for delivery this month it would have cost us as we didn’t go over the $150.00 on any of the orders… $103.00 So right there if I get 8 orders a month we are looking at a savings of $1236 per year and that is just in delivery fees —
- We find that we are not making impulse buys but just buying what it is that we need . Our waste has gone down as well.
